The Corkscrew Eggbutt Bit is a good bit for horses who tend to get strong or lean on the bit. Used incorrectly, the corkscrew can be a very harsh bit, but in the right hands, it can be useful for hard mouthed horses as it creates many small pressure point along the bars, lips and tongue which can cause the horse to be more reactive. The horse is also less likely to lean against all of these small points than he would be against a solid, smooth bit. The eggbutt cheeks increase stability in the mouth so that the bit can deliver messages clearly to the horse. Cob size only!
