The Longreach Stockmans Breastplate is made from the cowhide brown leather and has solid brass fittings with edge sewn contrast stitching and detachable martingale rings.
A breastplate is designed to be used on horses where the saddle tends to slip back. Two straps are attached the the dees at the front of the saddle and the long strap threads through the girth between the horse’s front legs.
